One of histories vestiges, Grimard lies mid-way between
the medieval town of Puy L’Eveque and the Roman village of Duravel in the beautiful Lot Valley.

Grimard has two swimming pools.

One in the old moat of the chateau. As in the past, the moat is fed by a stream which has its source in the hills to the north of Grimard and which, passing through an ancient, underground, natural stone aqueduct, flows towards the swimming pool. An overflow keeps the water at a constant level and the continuous current keeps the water clean. The temperature reaches 20 to 22 degrees in full summer.

The second pool is covered.

In the wide garden around the pool you can relax in the shadow of the huge oak with a wonderful view over the river Lot.

Peacefulness, rest and activities in nature.

A remarkable historic ambiance in an imposing building that rises from the river like a rock.

A wonderful view over the river Lot with opportunities for fishing, swimming and boating.

A region rich in historical, natural and gastronomic sites.

The imposing central limestone staircase from the XVI century, an extraordinary element of the chateau.

A marvelous nature for those who love walking, cycling, horse riding or simply to enjoy the rest.

An important tourist infrastructure: beautiful villages and castles, cultural events, lakes, equestrian centers, bike and boat hire, tennis, golf, etc.

Great opportunities for food and wine excursions.

A mild climate which makes it delicious to stay in the Basse Vallee of the Lot.

The ancient chateau of Grimard at the bank of the Lot is set in 8 eight hectares of land.
The earliest parts of the building date probably from the XIII century.
Over the years the property has undergone many changes.
Since 1988 the new owner has been restoring the old building to its original character and has been breathing new life into the property.
Slowly but surely the chateau is being reborn and becomes again the chateau of long ago.
